RTE pundit and former Irish international manager John Giles admits he took offence by what he labelled a ?set-up? during the channel's Late, Late Show interview with since deposed Irish boss Brian Kerr on Friday night last.

During the interview, host Pat Kenny showed footage of pundits Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady criticizing Kerr during RTE's coverage of the recent World Cup qualifiers.

Kerr hit back at the trio, claiming the criticism had come from failed managers ? and Giles has expressed his anger at the way the interview was conducted.

Speaking on RTE 2's Champions League coverage on Wednesday night, Giles said: ?I was offended by that. Myself, Eamon and Liam had a 30-minute discussion on the issue last week, and Pat Kenny showed one sentence each from the three of us, taken out of context.
