Jessica loves to have fun. Like other girls her age, the 12-year-old delights in shopping for the latest fashions and in being with her friends. She also enjoys playing computer games and going swimming. Her favorite outing includes a visit to a fast-food restaurant.

She is in the seventh grade in a regular classroom. Although she is highly intelligent, she can be easily distracted, which sometimes keeps her from reaching her academic potential. However, she is learning to concentrate and focus her attention more effectively. In addition, she is making progress in dealing with behavioral challenges and issues arising from separation and loss in her past.

Currently living in a structured environment in a foster home, she is very helpful and generally complies with all the rules. A very affectionate girl, Jessica would do best with a loving, patient family that will provide her with a secure and stable environment so she can grow up to be a productive and successful adult. Jessica is very close to her siblings and it is important that she keep in touch with them. She is eligible for financial subsidy.
